He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Peters and Grace Peters (Clear); and his granddaughter Sydney Avery. He is survived by: his children, Becky Conn (Tim) of Soldier, KY, Julie Harper (Rick) of Calhoun, CO, Randy Peters (Darnell) of Lewistown, Tim Peters, Jacob Peters (Bobbi) of Fort Madison, IA, Curtis Peters (Heather) of Galesburg, IL and Travis Peters (Jeri) of Astoria. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
