He was predeceased by: his sister Bette Calhoun (Ghlee); and his granddaughter Sarah "Bug" Meilike. He is survived by: his wife Linda Westlake Gale; his children, Lori Lee Wendt (Tim) and Robert "Snap" Preston Gale; his grandson Dylan "Little Snap" Gale (Madison); and his great grandchildren, Hawthorne "Hawk" Meilike, Finnegan Gale and Adalai Goins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Astoria Volunteer Fire Department, 101 E. State St., Astoria, IL 61501.
