It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Don L. Kimmons of Athens, Illinois, born in Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth Wolverton and Eldon Kimmons; his daughter Kimberly Sue Kimmons; and his brothers, Neal Kimmons, Jack Kimmons and Gene Kimmons.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Scehnet; his children, Donald Kevin Kimmons (Bernice) of Pleasant Plains and Susan Nielsen (George) of Springfield; his grandson Greg Kimmons (Crystal) of Pleasant Plains; and his great grandchildren, Wesley and Taylor Kimmons of Pleasant Plains. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Athens Christian Church.
