He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward, Sr. and Charlotte Messersmith (Long); his wife Marian Richardson; and his siblings, Eugene, William Jr., LaVerne, Wilbur, Lucille Mehocko, Lena Blane and Dorothy Ann.
He is survived by: his daughter Darla Cleesen; his granddaughter Cheyenne Cleesen; and his sister Mary Bender.
