Hildur leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Hildur’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Hildur will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anton P. Huneke and Matilda Mapes Huneke; her husband James L. Tibbs; her children, Barb Ipsen, Mark Tibbs and Elizabeth Hunter (Dan); her brother Robert Huneke; and her children, James Wayne Tibbs and Beverly Gordon. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials in her memory may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad.
