Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence E. Ernst and Dorothy M. Wiechman Ernst. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Keune; his daughter Diana Harmon (Chris Walton); his grandchildren, John Harmon (Laura) and Cassidy Walton; his great grandchildren, Meya Harmon and Leo Harmon; and his brother Larry Ernst. He is also survived by his daughter, his two grandchildren, and his two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home (202 NW Vine St, Atlanta, IL 61723).
