Janice M. Stilwell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice M. Stilwell of Atwood, Illinois, who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Janice departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janice. Though Janice may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Johnson and Ruth Demlow Johnson; her sons, Steven M. Stilwell and James E. Stilwell; and her siblings, Joyce Gregory and Thomas E. Johnson.

She is survived by: her daughter Chris Barrett of Atwood; her daughter-in-law Margaret Jo Stilwell of Atwood; and her siblings, Gary L. Johnson of St. Joseph and Mary E. Blacker of Homer. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
