Cindy Lynn Ackelson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 2, 2025, at the age of 63, Cindy Lynn Ackelson of Auburn, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ackelson and Shirley Ackelson (Burris); her sisters, Debbie Butchek and Tina Knight; and her brother-in-law Robert Knight.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nena Lynn Simmons (Tim) of Chatham and Sabrina Kay; her brother-in-law Gary Butchek; her siblings, Georgia Webster (Bruce) of Mesa, Arizona and John Ackelson (Terri) of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Lucas Simmons of Chatham, Makiyah Wilbert of Auburn, Layla Natale of Springfield and Cooper Simmons of Chatham. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
A reception will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703).
