We announce the death of Joseph Michelich Jr. of Auburn, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 96. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Michelich and Ida Michelich (Spagnoli); his wife Joyce D. MacKellar; and his children-in-law, Michael Deatherage and Connie Michelich.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Deatherage of Auburn, Jill Boomer (Randall) of Jerseyville and Joe Michelich of Auburn; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Bowen (Jeff) of Townsend and Katherine Pascall (Dennis) of Bloomington; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Jules, Lily Bowen, Patrick, Casey, Duncan and Ida Pascall.
