She is survived by: her sister Callie Edwards; her daughter Melyon Thompson (Harry); her son-in-law Frank Harris; her grandchildren, Brandy Gilliam, Arrealia Coleman, Xaviera Portales (Ricardo), Deanna Simmons, Olympia Dwomoh (Kwaku), James Simmons and Anthony Simmons (Chelsie); and her great grandchildren, Isis Gavins (Tony), Isaiah Sawyer, Cheyanne Smith, Kai Franklin, Caleb Simmons, Nevaeh Simmons, SirQuan Sago, Karma Simmons and Journie Simmons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
