He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Metzger and Don Metzger; and his brothers, Marty Metzger and Jerry McKenna. He is survived by: his children, Steven, Valerie, Kirk and Charlie McKenna; his grandchildren, Erica Ramos, Ella, Elliott McKenna, Charlie McKenna, Jr. and Paige McKenna; his great grandchild Mateo Kufel; his siblings, Mary Klingbell, Mary Ellen Doyle (Geoff), Patti Sue Kelley, Lorelei Lee, Barbarba Metzger and Don Metzger; and his godson Geoffrey Metzger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at 1194 Jericho Rd, Aurora, IL 60506.
