He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene'Gene'E. Johnson and Mary Johnson (Fuchs); his stepson Dale P. Garbe; and his brothers-in-law, Phil Stanley and Gene Boerger.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine J. Johnson (Tifrea); his sons, Kenneth Johnson (Amy) and D. Craig Garbe (Melanie); and his siblings, Sue Tobin (Tom), Karen Boerger, Mar'Stanley, Nancy Moats (Dan) and Tom Johnson (Jackie). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
