“I was fortunate to find him for one of of our earlier reunions, and subsequently, class updates to fellow classmates. Over the years, Gary included pictures of him and all of you! He shared his interests, career highlights, but most importantly, his pure enjoyment of having his family close by. His last 2 updates were sent to classmates in March and May, 2023. He even was able to reconnect with a dear friend from elementary and h.s.! He will be greatly missed. Barb (Izzett) Swanson”

“To Mary, Gary's children, and grandchildren. My sincerest condolences to all of you! Gary was such a remarkable, caring man. As Jan. '59 Fenger graduates, we shared many classes together and served also on many committees. He always had such a huge smile on his face, and was so friendly to all. I remember that Gary had a huge growth spurt over the summer of '58. He returned to h.s. in the fall almost 5-6 inches taller, and laughed when he said his pants shrunk.. More coming. Barb”
