He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Schmidt and Betty Schmidt (Johnston); and his brothers, Walter and Ron Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Schmidt (Greenwood); his children, Sarah and Andrew Schmidt; his grandchildren, Abigail, Corey and Kevin Schmidt; and his siblings, Jim Schmidt (Connie), Debbie Gridley (Tim) and Tammy Furrow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
