He is survived by: his siblings, Dr. William Swedler (Susan), Dr. Rosemary Carroll (Robert) and Regina Hanrahan (Brian); his nephews, Dr. David Swedler (Margaret), James Swedler, Dr. Robert Carroll and Daniel Carroll; and his niece Ruth Povlich (Matthew).
