He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Rodriguez; his parents, Salome Leon and Bernabe Rodriguez; and his brothers, Jose, Miguel and Antonio.

He is survived by: his children, Javier (Hortencia), Jesus Jr. (Maria E.), Carlos (Victoria), Jose (Angelica), Armando (Juanita), Leticia Contreras (Crisanto) of Aurora, Maria Elena Rodriguez of Aurora, Graciela Baltierrez (Juan) of Aurora and Irma Arroyo of Aurora; and his sisters, Maria Teresa of Mexico and Alicia of Mexico. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
