With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John E. DeWitt of Aurora, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude DeWitt and Beatrice DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl DeWitt; his children, Brian DeWitt (Kim) of Temecula, Kristen Petesch (Sean) of Chicago, Erin Stanford (Brad) of Aurora and Kevin DeWitt of Naperville, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Troy, Sydney, Sawyer, Kennedy, Phoebe and Harper; and his pets, Bernie and Georgie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name can be made to the Boy Scouts of America (https://www.gec-bsa.org) or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
