He was predeceased by: his mother Josefa Gonzalez (Hernandez). He is survived by: his children, Jose N. Chavarria Sr. (Rose), Steve Gonzalez, Frank Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez (Sandra), Joel Gonzalez (Rosa), Ramon Lopez, Mary Hernandez and Carlos Chavarria. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 8 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
