He is survived by: his wife America Salas; his children, Hector Ortiz (Noelia) of Aurora, Homero Ortiz of Aurora, Juan Jaime Ortiz of Mexico, Brenda Ortiz of Aurora and Roberto Ortiz (Laura) of Aurora; his grandchildren, Blanca, Jose Julio, Brenda, Hector Armando (Andrea), Chelsea, Homero Jr., Mason, Juan Jaime Jr., Jacob, Alejandro, Roberto Jr. and Izabel; and his siblings, Concepcion, Maria, Lucia, Elodia and Ignacio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
