With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia R. Gonda of Aurora, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Julia R. Gonda to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Gonda and Catherine Gonda; her sister Helen "Red" Siebert (late Emil); and her nieces and nephews, Barbara, Mike, J. J., Kathy and Donna.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bernadine Gonda of Aurora, John Gonda (late Ann), Stephen Gonda (late Maryanne), Peter Gonda (late Elizabeth), Matthew Gonda (late Margaret) and Edward Gonda (late Marian); and her nieces and nephews, Richard, Donald, Jack, Jill, Linda, Dave, JoAnne, Patrick, Michael, Peter, Suzanne, Robert, Daniel, Sharon, Brian, Dawn and Mary Carol.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (701 Eola Rd, Aurora, IL 60504). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (200 W Romeo Rd, Romeoville, IL 60446). A reception will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at 200 W 8th St, Lockport, IL 60441.
