The passing of Lane W. Hunter of Aurora, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 73. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hunter and Mattie Lee Hunter (Thomas); his parents-in-law, Bliss and Margaret Routh; his brother Ken Hunter; his granddaughter Miana Byrd; his nephew Thomas Slawson; and his sister-in-law Pam Mithelman (Larry).
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Hunter; his children, Jason Hunter, Michelle Byrd and Lindsay Sommers (Eric); his grandchildren, Maleia Byrd, Mekhi Byrd, Oliver Sommers, Ryleigh Sommers and Hunter Sommers; his sister Marcia Szabo (Bill); and his sister-in-law Sandy Boeshart (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, and numerous close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
