He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregory Matei and Margaret Matei (Silaghi); and his siblings, Felicia, Patricia Matei and Dennis Matei (late Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Susan Matei (Dillon); his daughters, Erin Wieland (Chris) and Emily Clemens (Michael); and his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Elena, Sofia, Mackenzie, Evelyn, Maddison, Emerson and Cameron.
