He is survived by: his wife Carol Walter (Jacobsen); his children, Elizabeth Walter of North Carolina and John Walter (Kim) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Joshua Abbott, Heather Abbott (Drew Sink), Ashley Gilbert (Adam), Tanner Heitz, Larkin Walter and Rowen Walter; and his sister Sylvia Raushi.
