She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Knollhoff and George Charlton; her former husband Art Lindsay; her sons, Micheal (Judy), Terry (Martha), Robert (Holly), Dusty (Joan) and Larry (Linda); her husband William Worst; and her daughter-in-law Judy. She was also cherished by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (325 E Downer Pl, Aurora, IL 60505). A memorial service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at the Riverside Cemetery (414 N River St, Montgomery, IL 60538).
Shirley loved her flowers and planted many at her home, but she would prefer, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to the deacons at First Presbyterian Church or to Literacy Evangelism International, so that others can be helped.
