He was predeceased by: his parents, Sahoon Kim and Myungsun Kim. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Atkins; his son-in-law Jeff Atkins; and his grandson Remi Atkins. He is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Korean Martyrs (224 Bruce Road, Lockport, IL 60441). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Naperville (24021 Royal Worlington Dr, Naperville, IL 60564). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
