He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Thayer and Margaret Thayer; and his wife Ita. He is survived by: his children, Billy Copp (Nora Conroy) and Judy Harreld (Mark); his grandchildren, Amanda Fermazin (Nick DeCrane), Brandon Copp (Stephanie Paluch), Randalyn Harreld, Ryan Harreld (Jenna), Sean Harreld (Lily), Rachel Hernandez (Eric), Madeline Dennis (Sam), Dylan Rosa, Max Abens and Tiffany Penson; his great grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Kace, Ivy, Krew, Hayes and Owen; and his niece Heather Copp. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
