He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father Raymond A. Foote; his wife Marilyn A. Pompa; his children, James Foote (Gail) of Barrington, Illinois, Laura Hunger (Brian) of Aurora, David Foote (Kelly) of Orlando, Florida and Sharon Heckel (Nelson Medal) of Alameda, California.; his grandchildren, Sarah Hunger (Stephen Fraser), Thomas Foote (Sarah), Kathryn Elliott (Peter), Daniel Foote, Ryan Foote (Miranda Shaver), Christina Hunger (Jacob McConkey) and Michelle Foote (Jory Frasco); his sister Marge Medgyesi; his sister-in-law Helen Foote; his brothers, Raymond A. Foote, Jr. and Edward L. Foote; and his sister-in-law Irene Foote. He was also cherished by Six great-grandchildren.

Contributions can be made to either the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for the Marilyn A. and William J. Foote Scholarship Endowment Fund or the Holy Angels Food Pantry.
