It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William James Lye of Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lye and Margie Lye (Kewenig); his significant other Judy; his wife Rachel Lang; his brothers, Skip, Tom and Mike; his son-in-law Mike Winter (Mark Kurkowski); and his grandson Billy Newhouse.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy Gould of Aurora; and his children, Brenda Taylor (Jay) of Big Rock, Linda Newhouse of Sugar Grove, Richard Lye (Dianne) of Sugar Grove, Glenda Kurkowski (Jeff Boyd) of Checotah, OK, Connie Grzywa (Eric) of Drums, PA and Ronald Lye of Aurora. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two nieces and extended family members and friends.
