He was predeceased by: his father William Lee Mitchell; his son Samuel Gochis; and his brother George "Vinny" Mitchell. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Mitchell; his wife Sharon Mitchell; his sons, Nick Gochis and Tom Gochis; his granddaughters, Bailey Gochis and Samantha Allen (Kyle); his brothers, Scott Mitchell (Lauren) and Marc Mitchell (Tricia); his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Potucek (Kirk), Cyndie Gordon (Gregg) and Sandy Mitchell; and his nieces and nephews, Brittany Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell, Everett Mitchell, Will Mitchell, Kaitlyn Mitchell, McKenzie Mitchell, Brady Mitchell, Beckett Mitchell, Alyssa Potucek, Ryan Potucek and Madi Gordon.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials in Bill's name to go to Wounded Warrior Project.
