He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schott and Stella Underwood Schott; his sister Carol; his grandson Charles "Mikey" Stearns; and his niece Julie McMurray.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Schott of Marion, IL; his children, Sarah Miller (Carl) of Marion, IL and William R. Schott (Kimberly Fleehart); his grandsons, Brendan Stearns (Candace Silvey) and Jimmy Roth; his great grandchild Jenson Stearns; his stepgrandsons, Lucas and Noah; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Reichrath (Cindy) of Murphysboro, IL and Tina Wright (Eddie) of Lake.
