Glenn McBride Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenn McBride of Ava, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert McBride and Lillian McBride (Graff); and his sisters, Barbara Jean Gandy (Robert) and Mary Ann Burkett (Carl). He is survived by: his wife Shelby; his children, Brent McBride, Lisa McBride, Blaine McBride (Christy) and Courtney McBride (Angelo Hightower); and his grandchildren, Lorenzo Hightower, Qwentin McBride and Ariana McBride.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elm Street Baptist Church (1907 Elm St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of love may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, via their website and/or will be accepted at the services.
