She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Cheatham and Ione Bailey Cheatham; her husband Robert L. Volkman; her brother Ronald Cheatham; and her brother-in-law Tom Nisbet.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Hammel (Doug) of Ava and Curtis Volkman (Julie) of Ava; her grandchildren, Caleb Volkman (Grace), Kyle Hammel (Kelci), Chandler Volkman (Loretta Elliott) and Kaitlyn Ridings (Noah); and her sisters-in-law, Glenda Cheatham of Ava and Shirley Nisbet of Ava. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church Steeple Fund or Disabled American Veterans.
