With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Terry Eugene Wilson of Ava, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Terry left this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Wilson and Erma Wilson; and his former wife Sue Ann Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane of Ava; his brother Jerry Wilson (Karen) of Ava; his children, Brooke Crombar (Lance) of Carbondale and Jeffrey Wilson (Jill) of Murphysboro; his stepchildren, Kathy Patterson of Ava, Tabitha Colvis (Charles) of Chester and Dane Patterson (Hope) of Steeleville; his grandchildren, Kate, Corey Crombar of Carbondale, Jacey and Jacob Wilson of Murphysboro; and his aunt Shirley Wilson of Ava. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (206 S 5th St, Ava, IL 62907). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
