We are sad to announce that, on January 9, 2026, at the age of 76, Daniel J. Nicklin of Aviston, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nicklin and Anne Nicklin; his granddaughter Madison Alexandra Nicklin; his siblings, Marg Balke (George), Ray Nicklin, Ralph Nicklin (Dorothy) and Fred Nicklin (Mary Lou); and his sisters-in-law, Jackie Biroschik and Barb Biroschik.
He is survived by: his sons, Dan Nicklin (Stephanie) of Highland, Corey Nicklin (Michelle) of Aviston, Shane Nicklin (Jennifer Riegel) of Highland, Joel Nicklin of Gilbert, SC, Curt Nicklin (Cara) of Columbia, SC and Brett Nicklin (Jessica) of Breese; his grandchildren, Leanora, Cole, Parker, Connor, Kennedy, Paige, Angie Woodall (Andrew), Kelsey, Tyler (McAyla), Jonah, Ashden, Sam, Dylan, Grace, Alexis Hilmes (Justin), Bentley, Lennon and Josh Oliver; his great grandchildren, Kolt, Violet, Aleczander and Asher; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Biroschik of Lexington, KY and Mike Biroschik of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Mater Dei Catholic High School Sports Programs, or Central Community High School Sports Programs and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
