James F. Stroot Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2023, at the age of 66, James F. Stroot of Aviston, Illinois, born in Breese, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregory Stroot and Loretta Stroot (Markus); his brother Jerome Stroot; his parents-in-law, Edgar and Ruth Schrage; his brothers-in-law, Gary Schrage and Roger Schrage; and his nephew Jon Schrage.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Schrage; his children, Linda Almonroeder (William) of Troy, IL, Marsha Stroot (Albert Beck) of Aviston, Brenda Stroot of Aviston and Michael Stroot (Kate) of Aviston; his friend Kendra Athmer of Aviston; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Braden and Colton Almonroeder; his sister Carolyn Timmons (Hobie); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Altgilbers (Tom), Kevin Schrage, Carl Schrage and Randy Schrage. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Memorials made in memory of James are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Catholic Church and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 150 North Clinton Street, Breese, IL 62230.
