He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Owen Dempsey and Adlei S Dempsey (Anderson); his brother Bruce R. Dempsey; and his sister-in-law Margaret Laree Dempsey. He is survived by: his siblings, Barry J Dempsey (Pauline) and Sara E. Dempsey; and his nieces and nephews, Deborah Hass (Steven), Karen Hall (Matt), Scott Dempsey (Melissa) and Craig Dempsey (Kristen). He is also survived by two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Avon Federated Church with funds designated for the Avon Food Pantry.
