We are sad to announce that, on November 23, 2025, John Edward Monek of Barrington Hills, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Jennifer M. Steensland; and his siblings, Patsy Chappell (George) and Francis "Frank" Monek. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Monek; his children, Amy Steensland-Rickard (Nick Rickard), John Monek and James Monek (Kelly); his grandchildren, Tristan, Shelby, Tyler, Nikki, Kennedy, Charleigh, Miles and Sienna; and his sisters, Mary Southworth (late Bruce), Susan Lindeman (late James), Dottie Davis, Nancy Gaynor (George), Barbara Collins, Carol Sweet (Kirk) and Cathy MacArthur. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
