We bid farewell to James J. Archer of Barrington, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 16, 2025 at the age of 93. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Elizabeth Archer and Francis Beaumont Archer; his wife Barbara; his son Brian Archer; and his great grandchild Caleb Lindberg.
He is survived by: his friends, Jim and Barbara; his sister Jeanne Williams; his sibling's children, Laurie Lindberg (John), Teri Herchenbach (Tom) and Jim Archer (Mary Beth); his grandchildren, William (Lauren), Anne, Eric Lindberg (Emily), Laura Pippen (Ben), Matt Herchenbach, Audrey, James Archer and Katlyn Archer; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Mason, Liam, Declan Lindberg and Bridget Pippen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (22233 W Erhart Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities in Jim's name are appreciated.
