She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore LaScola and Dorothea LaScola (Raitano); and her parents-in-law, James and Joan McCann (Rea). She is survived by: her husband Michael McCann; her sons, Brendan Kelly McCann (Lauren) and Liam Patrick McCann (Maddy Finn); her sibling Laurie Romanazzi (Daniel); her siblings-in-law, James, Dennise McCann, Regina, Marten Ozog, Martin McCann, Kelly and Michael Burton; and her nieces and nephews, Dina Fox (Matthew), Danielle DiMenna (Greg), Kristen McCann, Matthew McCann, Katherine Faut (Jackson), Casey Ozog (Rachel), Conor Ozog, Michaela Burton and Claire Burton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Morizzo Funeral Home (2550 Hassell Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169). Viewing will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in JoAnn's name may be made to the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement (https://www.atonementfriars.org) , St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , or the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation all three organizations whose missions were especially meaningful to her.
