He is survived by: his son Dr. Benjamin Degner (Madeline) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Mabel, Jane and Harold; his son Timothy Degner (Amanda) of Oregon; his grandchildren, Billy and Birdie; his granddaughter-in-law Brenda Bolich; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Scharff, Astrid Scharff and Ridge Scharff; his mother Ruth Degner; and his siblings, Jeff Degner (Marcie), Mark Degner (Karen), John Degner (Delia), Janice Reynolds (Jim), Karen Riggs (Mike) and Mary Rebbe (Lou Hagele). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
