With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Powell of Barrington, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Skarda and Angeline Skorski; her brother Jack Skarda; and her former husband Jerome Powell. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Silva; her sister Judy Brahin; her children, Lance Powell, William Renshaw (Lori), John Renshaw (Nicole) and Barrett Renshaw; her grandchildren, Alex, Paige, Richard, Danielle, Bradley, Taylor, Kennedy, William, Addison, Jenna and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Haze, Asher, Brody, Molly and William; and her daughters-in-law, Brenda Powell and Brooke Renshaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marilyn's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
