We are sad to announce that, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 99, Ruth B. Degner (Barrington, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward; and her son Kenneth. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey (Marcia), Janice (James), Mark (Karen), Karen (Michael), Mary (Louis) and John (Delia). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
