It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Smith of Barry, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Smith and Marian L. Smith (Hathaway); his wife Sandra K. Selvy; his siblings, Clara E. Kasten, John "Bill" Smith and Richard "Leroy" Smith; and his nephew Travis Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carrie Moore (Christopher) of Barry, IL and Jennie Smith of Collinsville, IL; his siblings, Kenneth Smith (Debra) and Dorann Fesler (Joe); his sister-in-law Joye Smith; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Chapel (629 Mortimer St, Barry, IL 62312). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) or Homeward Bound.
