With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Thomas Raftery of Barry, Illinois, born in Pittsfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Raftery and Kathlyn Huffman Raftery; and his daughter Amy Throne. He is survived by : his wife Margaret Raftery; his children, John P. Raftery (Stacy) of Barry, IL and Angela Potter (Tony) of New Canton, IL; his grandchildren, Brendan Raftery (Caitlin), Emma Raftery, Harlie Potter, Wyatt Potter, Ethan Raftery and Mason Throne; and his siblings, Gene Raftery and Joyce Stone (Dale).
