He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh A. Hurt and Helen Nadine Hurt (Bogan); his siblings, Doug and Lori Hurt; and his father-in-law Jack Fee.
He is survived by: his wife Jeane "Ole Eff" Hurt of Barry, IL; his children, Alex Hurt (Megan) of New London, MO and Kayloni Obert (Eric) of Liberty, IL; his grandchildren, Elijah Obert, Raelee Obert, Lyla Obert, Casen Hurt and Corie Hurt; his mother-in-law Martha Fee; and his in-laws, Mike Fee (Peggy), Joyce Fee, Mick Fee, Julie Tischer and Monte Fee (Jess).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Chapel (629 Mortimer St, Barry, IL 62312). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parklawn Cemetery.
