With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vern Edwards of Barry, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Elva Edwards Sr. (Fanshier); his daughter Lisa Kay Vickery; and his siblings, Delores Dyer, Charlotte Huddleston, Mary Lou Lemmons, Edna Mae Fuelling, Herbert "Herb" Edwards and Tom Edwards (Louis Edwards).
He is survived by: his significant other Freda; his children, Glen Edwards (Angela), Roger Edwards, Todd Phillips (Alisha), Alisha Phillips, April Voss, Amber Kemp and Freda Hull (Jake); his grandchildren, April, Rachel, Bethany, Michael, Sami Jo, Asher, Levi, Alexas, Austin, Jamie, Zander, Ashlyn, Nate, Allison, Mary Ann and Samuel; and his great grandchildren, Lynnlee, Everlee, Trenton and Anthony.
Memorials may be made to the Barry Food Pantry to the care of Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, Illinois.
