He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his brothers, Don, Ren, Bob and Rich Rooney; his brother-in-law Edward Helgesen; his nephew Jon Helgesen; and his sisters-in-law, Betty and Joan Rooney.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Rooney (Heather) and Dyanne Rooney Holl (Bob); his grandchildren, Matthew, Colin Hayes and Devyn Rooney (Eileen Prominski); and his sister-in-law Barbara Rooney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
