Desi Arnez Taylor Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Desi Arnez Taylor of Bartonville, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 56. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Desi Arnez Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Taylor and Barbara Taylor; his nieces, Kristina Rutherford of Peoria and Samone Gregory of Peoria; and his great-niece Kalaiayah Gregory of Peoria.
He is survived by: his wife Libby Taylor of Bartonville, IL; his children, Lydia Vivian Purtscher of Pekin, IL and Benaiah Kahlil Taylor of Bartonville, IL; his grandchildren, Anthony of Pekin, IL and Libby Purtscher of Pekin, IL; his son-in-law Anthony Purtscher II of Glasford, IL.; and his siblings, Annette Lewis (Bobby) of Peoria, IL, James Taylor (LoRita) of Peoria, IL, Margaret Taylor of Peoria, IL, Renee Taylor of Peoria, IL, Rick Taylor of Peoria, IL, Barbara Katina Taylor of Peoria, IL and Darnell Taylor of Sandhill, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northwest Baptist Church (5430 N Big Hollow Rd, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Desi's memory may be made to his church, Northwest Baptist Church (5430 N. Big Hollow Road, Peoria, IL 61615).
