With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Behrends (Bartonville, Illinois), born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Behrends and Minnie Behrends. She is survived by: her sisters, Shirley Giarritano of Rochelle, IL, Lynn Thompson of San Antonio, TX and Jane DeToye of Merrillville, IN; and her nieces, Tracy Spang (Pat), Petra Cady (Jack) and Nicole Serena (Patrick).
