He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur "Bud" Showens and Ethel "Cecil" Bath Showens; and his sister-in-law Joanne K. Boyce. He is survived by: his sister Twila Quine; his brother-in-law John Quine; his children, Jerry "Butch" Showens (Janice) of Pekin, IL, Jeff Showens of Bartonville, IL, Julie Duncan (Michael) of Chatham, IL and June Hanson of Thornton, CO.; his siblings, Jack Showens (Sally) of Spring Valley, IL and Wanda Driscoll of Peoria; and his close friend Faythe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
